We chose only people who had chronic dark circles and puffiness as it is all that we could really test about this product.  We chose a testing period of 8 weeks for this product beacuse of the difficulty of removing dark circles for most products.  We were surprised by the fact that this product seemed to do very little for our dark circles, but consumers did see some reduction of fine lines.  As we said this is not intended to do that so we were skeptical, but when we measured the fine lines, they had, in fact, been reduced.

Results:

While most testers did not see any reduction in fine lines and wrinkles some did see the reduction in dark circles.  We did NOT document any results as significant as the claims we had read, but 23% of our consumers were pleased with the results.  On the whole we do not recommend this product, although it should be noted that many consumers planned to continue its use, as they felt it was going to help eventually.

We gathered a medium sized group of test consumers who agreed to a 6 week period of testing.  16 consumers committed to twice daily application and document their results.  Less than three days into testing 4 consumers had to withdraw from the examination because they developed bright red bumps underneath their eyes.  By the end of the second week, we had two more cases of minor irritation.  When it comes to eye serums, creams and gels, it is extremely concerning to see examples of irritation due to the proximity of these products to your eyes.  We were less than thrilled with our tests of DDF.

Results:

Many times products that cause irritation are concentrated and for those who do not react to the skin, they receive fantastic results.  This was not the case with DDF Protective Eye Cream.  While it may have fortified our skin, we were unable to see any visible proof of that.  We do NOT recommend the use of DDF Protective Eye Cream, it is an inferior product with a high likelihood of reaction.

We established a group of testers, although we could not acquire as many who agreed to the use of Neova Eye Therapy we still managed to put together 12 willing consumers in addition to the staff here.  We set out on our testing of this product over a period of 8 weeks.  We had a feeling that the concentration of this product’s active ingredients was too low and it would need the extra time to show us the results we were looking for.  While copper generally works very quickly, it needs to be included in the proper dosages to make any real difference.  Keep reading for more about this eye serum by Neova.

Unfortunately for us, Neova simply missed the mark with this one.  Yes it is exciting that it uses copper,  as experts know the importance of precious metals in anti aging creams, but this product simply did not deliver results.  It was pleasant to wear and even enjoyable at times.  Our skin gel soft and refreshed, but it did not wipe away wrinkles and fine lines and left us wanting in the removal of puffiness.

Results:

After 8 weeks of testing, we were only able to document minor reduction in the length and depth of fine lines and little to no reduction in actual wrinkles or crows feet.  Yes our skin felt softer, but we do not feel it is enough to warrant a recommendation from us here on this site.  It is a well balanced cream that simply falls a bit short on the concentration of copper.  If it would actually deliver what it says it will, we would be interested, but after two months of testing we felt it would take at least 6-8 more months to see results, and that is just too long consiering the other options available to consumers.   We do NOT recommend Neova Eye Therapy.

Eye Gels are a relatively recent spin as a delivery system in the eye cream world, and many think it is one of the best, but Obagi Elastiderm Day Eye Gel is not only tough to say, its tough to wear.  The product is directed to be applied in small dots around the eye area, and it is almost impossible to rub into your skin without noticing the distinct sticky feeling.  Read more about Obagi’s eye gel in our complete eye serum review.

We assembled  a test group of people and ran this test for a 4 week period of time.  Each of our testers noticed the same thing that we did.  We were hopeful of results which would minimize the uncomfort of wearing this cream, however they never came.  After a month, with no results to speak of we came the realization that this Eye Gel is just substandard.

Results:

We cannot possible endorse the use of this eye gel based upon the following criteria.  We believe that the formulation of this product is less than acceptable and the results are non existant.  While we do like gels as a delivery of eye treatments this one misses the mark.  The nasty sticky feeling that is left on your eyes, is impossible to fully absorb into your skin and leaves your feel “caked” with product.

Sudden Change Eye Serum

Sudden Change Eye Serum claims to make “sudden changes” to the skin in 3 minutes.  Right away that tells you there is either A) a bogus claim or 2) a non-therapeutic product.  Serums without therapeutic value are more along the lines of make-up, and while they will provide a quick change to the visible appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, they will not create any long lasting nourishment to the skin, so with that in mind, proceed as you wish.
